Objectives

The Etisalat Award for Arabic Children’s Literature was launched to support the Arabic children’s book industry in the Arab world and achieve the following objectives:

1. To raise the standards of children’s book production in the Arab world.
2. To recognise children's books that are high-quality and address contemporary issues.
3. To promote children’s books in the face of the various electronic alternatives available today.
4. To encourage creativity among publishers, writers, and illustrators in the field of children’s book publishing.
